Julia Chandler Lawing
Concord, North Carolina
Julia synchronizes color and brushstroke to capture the essence of a moment and evoke emotion. Her oil paintings have been called "extravagantly beautiful, spiritual and inspiring."
Julia's years growing up on St. Simons Island instilled a deep appreciation for nature, light and the wetlands.
Many of Julia's pieces are included in private and corporate collections across the US, including Towne Bank, Georgia State University's College of Law, and Virginia Center for Behavioral Rehabilitation. In the greater Charlotte area, her work has appeared on ArtPop billboards, commercial window clings, and sheet metal installed in a historic downtown.
Julia, her husband and four daughters live in Concord where she paints in her studio at ClearWater Arts Center. She remains inspired by life, landscape, and her Christian faith.
