For Carol, art is a journey, her passion, her need. A critic once compared the energy in her artwork to that of Stephen King’s writing process. Somewhere during the process she writes phrases, poems and words into the painting. These are usually covered by layers of paint using a predetermined palette and design.

Carol was born and raised in culturally-rich Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her artistic ability was noticed at an early age; always the standout in her art classes. Her talents continued to grow, as did her thirst for knowledge.

It was in northern West Virginia, after the birth of her second daughter, that she began to paint seriously. Her young family moved to Ohio where she attended art school and concentrated on painting in oils.  She consistently attended classes from instructors at nationally-recognized schools and others at each stage of her career. Moving to North Carolina she was introduced to watercolor and painted realistically for fifteen years.  Schooled in all disciplines of art and attending numerous workshops of national and international artists, she discovered her intensity was at its highest when painting abstractly. Her work is in private and corporate collections across the United States and Italy.

You can usually find Carol in her studio in the historic Plaza Midwood neighborhood of Charlotte where she will be working on commissions of her award-winning art.
